Our project takes special care to accommodate children with disabilities: disability is hardly accepted in Ethiopia, and few facilities can accommodate disabled children. Our school makes daily efforts to welcome them and build facilities and activities that can integrate them. Ramps have been built to facilitate the passage/movement of wheelchairs and diversified activities are implemented with staff supporting the children who need it most. TOADD Onlus, over the past two years, has promoted fundraising projects specifically for these activities. For instance, the latest dedicated project, called “Francesca’s Smile,” enabled the purchase of 10 wheelchairs that were distributed to childrens in need.
